The Centre on April 7 announced doubling the daily supply of 5 kg LPG cylinders for migrant labourers, the Petroleum Ministry said. Since March 23, around 7.8 lakh cylinders were sold, with over 1.06 lakh sold Monday. The move aims to ease access amid rising demand, while domestic LPG supply remains stable, according to the government.
