In the run-up to the Bihar assembly elections, the Election Commission (EC) has found a "large number" of suspected foreign nationals—primarily from Nepal, Bangladesh, and Myanmar—living in the state during its Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. Officials say these individuals have acquired documents such as Aadhaar, ration cards, and domicile certificates.
