Fuel Oil Prices Increased by Tk 15–20 per Liter
The prices of diesel, petrol, octane, and kerosene have been increased. The new prices have been set at Tk 115 per liter for diesel, Tk 140 for octane, Tk 135 for petrol, and Tk 130 for kerosene. The revised prices will come into effect from Sunday. The announcement was made on Saturday by the Energy and Mineral Resources Division under the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources. Diesel has been increased from Tk 100 to Tk 115 per liter, marking a rise of Tk 15. Kerosene has gone up from Tk 112 to Tk 130, an increase of Tk 18 per liter. Octane has been raised from Tk 120 to Tk 140, an increase of Tk 20, while petrol has increased from Tk 116 to Tk 135 per liter, a rise of Tk 19. In a press release, the Energy and Mineral Resources Division stated that the price adjustment has been made to align with the international market and to ensure stability in the supply system.
