Knowledge Marine & Engineering Works Limited announced the acquisition of approximately 15 acres of prime waterfront land at Saphale, Palghar, Maharashtra, through its subsidiary Knowledge Shipyard Private Limited, with an additional 5-acre expansion option. The site along the Vaitarna River offers approximately 188m of waterfront access and a natural slipway with approximately 6m high-tide draft, near the upcoming Vadhvan Port. KMEW plans a phased shipyard development covering workboats and tugs, repair facilities and floating dry docks, and large-scale vessels, aligned with India's Maritime India Vision 2030 and Amrit Kaal 2047 frameworks. The disclosure was made to stock exchanges on May 04, 2026, under Regulation 30.
