The Madhya Pradesh government has constituted the Sixth Finance Commission, appointing former minister Jaibhan Singh Pawaiya as Chairman and retired IAS officer K. K. Singh as Member, with Virendra Kumar as Member Secretary. The Commission, active until October 31, 2026, will review municipalities’ and panchayats’ finances & recommend tax and fee distribution.
