PUCO should say ‘no’ to FirstEnergy’s power-restoration extension request: Letter to the Editor

FirstEnergy is slowly making some repairs to the defective underground electric lines that serve my home. However, we should not need to own a generator to live in a neighborhood where homes are $450,000 and up. Given FirstEnergy’s equipment issues, past outages, and its role in 2019’s House Bill 6 bribery scandal, they should not be granted additional time to restore power during an outage, writes Karen Lieske, of Bay Village, a former member of the city's school board, City Council and Planning Commission, in a letter to the editor.
