Sebi has imposed a Rs 40 lakh penalty on former Religare Enterprises chairperson Rashmi Saluja and ordered her to disgorge nearly Rs 2 crore in alleged wrongful gains. The regulator found she sold REL shares while in possession of unpublished price-sensitive information linked to the Burman Group’s open offer.
