Hunt Valley-based Sinclair Inc. is considering a merger with The E.W. Scripps Co. and has acquired 8% of Scripps Class A common stock, Sinclair said Monday. Sinclair, one of the nation’s largest owners of local TV stations, said in August it could buy or sell TV stations or seek new business partners as part of a broadcast industry evolution anticipated under the Trump administration.
